Klaas van den Berg and his family have taken delivery of the new Hendrika Jacoba GY-127, the latest in an ongoing series of fly-shooter/twin-riggers coming from the Padmos yard in Stellendam.

In the fishing company’s forty-year history, this is the first newbuild, and the 24.95 metre overall, 8.50 metre breadth Hendrika Jacoba replaces a 40-metre former beamer built in 1982 as GO-38, and which was initially converted to work as a twin-rigger before a subsequent refit added fly-shooting capacity.

The new vessel is 15 metres shorter than the former beamer it replaces, and is a significantly more sophisticated vessel, and the reduced length also places it in an operating bracket with more available options.

VCU was selected to design and install the complete VCU CatchProcessing system, including the VCU CatchManagement weighing system. Also we supplied the OSEY Urk Flyshoot winches.

Also we delivered our VCU CombiRopes (2 x 3000 mtr. of 50mm)

VCU thanks Klaas van den Berg for his trust in our company and for the good cooperation.
