Twinrig fishery

In twinrig fishing, the nets are thrown overboard behind the ship. The two nets are horizontally connected to each other. A trawl door is attached to the far end of the net. There is a middleweight in the middle, where the nets are connected. The cables hanging behind the trawl doors create underwater dust clouds, startling the fish into the nets. This kind of fishing is mainly aimed at catching round fish.
