Inspections
You are legally required to have your hoisting and lifting equipment inspected yearly in order to prevent accidents. Amongst others, hoisting and lifting equipment is considered to be: chains, harnesses and clamps.
Inspection and testing
A t least once a year, your hoisting and lifting equipment must be inspected for visible defects, for example by corrosion or damage by chemicals. Our quality inspector will perform the inspection visually. You are required to have this done at least once a year – If the hoisting and lifting equipment are used particularly frequently, a different standard will apply.
Apart from this, the equipment must be tested once every 4 years – This will be done on-site at the safety centre. The safety centre is equipped with the specialised facilities and tools needed to test your hoisting and lifting equipment.
