Hydrorig fishery
Hydrorig fishery is based on beam trawling, but the hydrorig doesn’t use tickler chains. Instead, the hydrorig uses round heads that create turbulence in the water. This turbulence also scrambles the bottom of the sea, as was done with chains in beam trawling. Hydrorig fishing also uses two nets that are cast out on either side of the ship. Using an iron tube (also called a beam), the nets are kept open. Because the nets trawl over the bottom of the sea, it is necessary to have nets of excellent quality.
VCU Maritime has everything you need to equip your ship for hydrorig fishing. Additionally, we will provide the complete rigging plans. Whatever you may need, VCU Maritime can deliver. Click here for more information or contact us through our contact page.
