The number of maritime entrepreneurs in the vicinity of Urk is constantly growing. As of February 28, 2009,  these business have joined with the BGN association, whose main goal is to:

  • combine purchasing powers in order to achieve commercial advantage;
  • the establishment of a consultative body;
  • members are not subject to liability;
  • improved information services;
  • establishment of interests representation;
  • promote  mutual involvement.
